Ivins Part 2 (of LAST summer)

Wendy took us to a super fun park when we visited. There were so many new fun toys that aren’t typical at most parks.

Hey, it’s us again!

Yes, we have taken an extended break on blogging. But Adam has taught me how to work this thing, so hopefully I’ll be able to keep up with what we are doing.  I decided to start posting from where we left off. So my first few posts will be of our trip to my parents in Ivins, UT last summer. And then I will move forward in time from there, and eventually be caught up to the present day.

So last summer we visited my parents the beginning of June. These first pictures are going to be from around their house. Also, my sister Wendy lives right by them so there are also some pictures of her kids.

Here’s Spencer lounging on the couch.

Wendy and Mom are really into Day Lilies. So last summer I went with Wendy to a man’s house who breeds (I guess that’s what you call it) and sells Day Lilies. So now I’m hooked on these beautiful flowers. The one on the right is called Complimentary Colors. The left one is called Ruby Spider.

The many faces of Spencer. He’s in Grandpa and Grandma’s front yard. That kid cracks me up all day.

This is their front yard – aka Mom’s amazing garden! You can see Wendy’s house in the distance. And then Emma and Kayla relaxing on the grass.

Roasting Marshmallows in the Backyard

Megan and John came over with Daniel and Rachel. It was one of the many times I recruit John to come over and help me chop down trees or some other sort of manual labor. Anyway, to have some fun with the kids we roasted marshmallows.

The Playset

So we decided before our kids get too big we wanted to have a playset for them to be monkeys on. My parents came up to help build, although we had many little helpers as well. As any part of the playset was completed the kids had to thoroughly test it. After visiting our local Costco, these were the results (Be grateful that I am not sharing the picture of my dad after he split out his pants...):

GGGGOOOOAAAAALLLLLL

Ben decided he wanted to play soccer this year. And most of the 5-week YMCA camp he did, but not always. :) While Ben played both Emma and Spencer thought they needed to play soccer too so we might have a whole family of soccer players by the fall. So here are a few pics:
