Can you believe it’s pumpkin season again? Just kidding, you know this is still from last fall. Anyway, so these pictures are not that amazing in and of themselves. But what is so awesome is that we grew these pumpkins in our own yard!
Have you seen those kids cups of seeds at Lowe’s or Home Depot? They’re $0.99 and you can usually pick between pumpkins, watermelons and sunflowers. We’ve tried them all over the last few years, but last year the pumpkin plant just grew like nothing else!
I didn’t really have a spot picked out for planting pumpkins so I just stuck it in the ground by our raspberries (which are on the side of the house in the front yard). They grew around the side and into the front so that when you looked at the house you could see our beautiful orange pumpkin blossoms, and eventually our amazing pumpkins. The kids became experts at pollinating those flowers.
We had so much fun watching them grow! I think we ended up with 4 large pumpkins and a few smaller ones. I can hardly wait to start growing them again this year and see what we get.

Awesome! I am so impressed with your pumpkin growing skills. We just put in two garden boxes this past weekend & are anxious to see if we can grow anything. I remember eating your yummy raspberries a couple years back when we visited. Great memories!
I, well, we are totally loving all the updates on your family, whether they are from last year or this year. It is just so fun seeing what your adorable family is doing. We seriously ache to live closer to everybody. Keep your ears perked for any landscape architect jobs out there, would you? We love it here, but we miss you guys. Hope all's well! So excited for a new niece or nephew! Love, Fenna
