Sydney

It’s high time I post more pictures of our sweet Sydney!

I just love her little face! She is growing up so much. She is now just over 3 months old.

And notice her new trick she learned – smiling! They were slow to come at first, but she’s making up for lost time. Everyone loves to try and make her smile. It is so fun to watch the kids talk to her and try to get a reaction from her.

How do you like that hair? No, I don’t purposefully spike it. It does that all on it’s own. She is so mod!

At her two month appointment, she weighed 8lbs. 10 oz. And her jaundice is now almost completely gone. Yay!

She often makes this face. It’s a cute little happy smirk. It makes me laugh!

This is how Sydney likes to be held. In this funny, squishy football kind of hold. There are so many new things to see and she doesn’t want to miss any of them!

And yes, I kiss that beautiful little face as often as possible!

Snow Day!

About a month ago (or somewhere around there) we had a great snow storm come through which left us with a ton of snow (well at least for Boise). So the kids got to stay home from school and have a snow day! Emma had a snow day in Kindergarten (3 years ago), but I’ve heard that Boise usually has about one snow day per decade. I also heard that this was the biggest storm here since 1994 (or something like that). I know, I’m really accurate. I always blame it on Mommy Brain.

The kids played outside for hours. It was a perfect day for them. The snow was just the right wetness for packing, and the temperature outside was actually pretty warm.

Spencer mostly stayed on the deck. I think he was afraid of getting stuck in the yard. Do you see how deep that snow is?!

Even Tiger had to get in on the action!

Thanksgiving?

I’m a little behind on blogging lately, so here’s Thanksgiving! Adam’s parents braved the terrible weather and traveled across the state so we could all be together! Judy and Megan (and probably John too) prepared all the food! That was so nice for me since Sydney was still pretty little. Then we all ate at our house. The kids made turkey-hand name tags for everyone (you can see them on the table).

Random Pictures

Here are the kids dressed and ready to go outside on the first snow of the season. Wow it’s a lot of work to get on their snow clothes!

Here’s the most comfortable way to play on the computer.

It’s a dance party!

How do you dress when you get the mail? You don’t wear shorts in the snow? Or a Christmas ribbon head band? These kids are always doing things to make me laugh!

Who gets to hold the baby?

Now that Sydney is growing up a bit, the kids are excited to hold her. She is usually very patient with them, and they really do a great job! These pictures are several weeks old and you can see how orange she is! Poor jaundiced baby. She’s looking better every day though.

Adam likes to hold her too. :) He’s such a good daddy!

The leaves are not falling any more

So, since it is full winter weather here, I thought it was time I posted pictures about fall. We have a large maple tree in the back yard, so the kids were able to have a lot of fun playing in the leaves!

They tried to put all the leaves into the play set so they wouldn’t get raked up.

They had so much fun!

Who let the monkeys in?

I so remember doing this when I was a kid!
